When it comes to recovery housing, one of the firs questions people ask is: How much does it cost?
At Sunstone, we believe the better question is: What are you getting for that cost—and how does it prepare you for what’s next?
We’re proud to offer a rent structure that’s not only affordable but also aligned with long-term independence. It’s not just about today’s rate—it’s about setting residents up to succeed when they move on.
What’s the Actual Cost?
The full cost of housing and services at Sunstone is $40/day. This rate reflects the true value of what we provide:
- Clean, furnished recovery-focused housing
- Utilities and on-site amenities
- Structure, accountability, and daily support
- Case coordination with certified outpatient providers
This $40/day rate is what we bill to third-party payers, grant programs, or private agencies.
But for residents who complete our 90-day stabilization program, Sunstone covers $10/day—reducing their out-of-pocket cost to just $30/day.
Why? Because this number matters.
At $900/month, we’re giving residents a real-world rent target they can maintain in Cincinnati. That’s the going rate for a modest one-bedroom apartment, and it’s the number they’ll need to be prepared for when they move on.
We Don’t Just Lower the Cost—We Raise the Value
This isn’t a discount. It’s a strategic choice. Our goal is to help residents practice financial stability while they’re with us, so they can maintain it after they leave.
The results speak for themselves. By Day 91, the median resident income is $2,400/month—enough to afford rent, build savings, and confidently plan their next move.
